Kybella
Kybella is the latest technology and uses deoxycholic acid to destroy submental fat (the fat that causes a double chin). This acid already occurs naturally in the body as a fat-buster, but it is concentrated and injected directly into the target site during Kybella treatments.
Kybella “injections” are actually similar to a stamp of small needles. Several needles are injected below the chin at once. Most patients will require a series of Kybella treatments spaced a few weeks apart, with 3 – 5 treatments in total. Full results are revealed a few weeks after the final treatment, as it takes the acid some time to vanquish the fat cells.

CoolMini is part of the CoolSculpting family, the popular contouring procedure that works by freezing away unwanted fat. Kybella is considered minimally invasive because it does use needles. CoolMini is completely non-invasive, which means that no needles are required. This is the primary reason some clients choose CoolMini over Kybella. If you’re wary of needles, this might be the approach for you.
Similar to Kybella, CoolMini also requires 3 – 5 treatments on average and you will need to wait a few weeks to see results. CoolMini also removes fat cells for good, although they are frozen away rather destroyed by an acid.
