Alex Martinez, CAE, LE
Alex Martinez is an honor roll graduate of Spectrum Advanced Aesthetics (2019). A native Oregonian and bilingual in English and Spanish, Martinez says that she loves seeing patients thrilled with their results. Passionate about patient education, Martinez’s favorite treatments include chemical peels and laser hair reduction. Martinez previously worked at a laser clinic in Portland before joining VIDA. When Martinez is not helping patients achieve their skin goals, Martinez loves spending time with her two daughters and fiancé, as well as cooking, baking, and reading.
Emily Steffen, CAE
Emily Steffen is an honor roll graduate of Spectrum Advanced Aesthetics (2020). Born and raised in Silverton, Oregon, she moved to Bend for additional experience and training after graduating and is happy to return to family and friends in the Salem area. Emily is an esthetician who has always loved the industry. Currently, microneedling is her favorite treatment because it harnesses the body’s incredible and natural ability to heal itself while uncovering organic beauty and youthfulness. When she is not working or opting for ongoing education and training, she enjoys hiking, baking, and traveling to the coast.
Abby Obledo, CAE
Abby Obledo is a certified advanced esthetician, and phlebotomist at VIDA Aesthetic Medicine. A Spectrum alumna, bilingual in English and Spanish, with a particular passion for microneedling due to its dramatic and enduring results that are suitable for most skin types. When she’s not enhancing beauty and confidence in our clinic, Abby enjoys quality time with her family, her husband and son, and her dog Mia, alongside maintaining her personal wellness through regular workouts. Abby’s blend of professional acumen and genuine care for her patients makes her a valued member of the VIDA team.

What is a Certified Advanced Esthetician (CAE)?
The training and skill of the professional performing your treatment are just as important as the treatment itself. Whether you’re interested in laser hair reduction or non-ablative tattoo removal, achieving the best results begins with choosing the right expert for your needs. A CAE is a high-level credential awarded to estheticians who’ve met criteria set by the Oregon Health Licensing Authority, including passing an exam written by the American Board of Laser Surgery, hundreds of hours operating a laser and ongoing continuing education.
