Kybella is a treatment to permanently reduce submental fat which causes the dreaded double chin. You don’t even need to be carrying excess weight for the turkey waddle to strike. How Kybella Works

Kybella uses a series of deoxycholic acid injections. This acid already occurs naturally in the body, but Kybella offers a concentrated, targeted dose that is deposited directly into the unwanted fat. Kybella is the only FDA approved injection to permanently decrease submental fullness.
However, the results aren’t immediate, and that’s a good thing. Similar to CoolSculpting and Vanquish, Kybella’s results are revealed within a few weeks after the treatment. The destroyed fat cells are slowly and safely absorbed by the body. This allows for more natural-looking results since the skin is given time to acclimate to a newer, slimmer neck and jaw area. Once those cells are destroyed, they won’t come back to accumulate fat again.
Avoid Loose Skin with Kybella
Rapid weight loss, either from diet and exercise or an aesthetic treatment, can lead to lax, loose skin. This can be especially true of thin and delicate skin, such as found beneath the chin and jaw. What to Expect with Kybella
Your Kybella Treatment
Every person is different, so your exact Kybella treatment regimen is completely personalized. Up to six treatments may be recommended for a patient. Appointments begin with a topical numbing cream so that the area is anesthetized for comfort. At VIDA, we also apply ice to minimize the risk of bruising.
During the treatment, several small injections deliver Kybella to the targeted fatty tissue. Treatments take only 30 minutes.
After the treatment, there may be some minor swelling for 1–3 weeks. However, this swelling is usually not noticeable to anyone else and gets better every day. You will see full results within six weeks of your final treatment.
