There is no true downtime after laser hair reduction, and most clients are able to resume their normal routine right away. However, it’s important to avoid excessive sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanners for at least two weeks before and after treatment to minimize the risk of irritation or pigmentation changes. It’s also normal for the treated area to appear pink and feel warm or slightly bumpy for a few hours after your session, but this typically resolves quickly. For the first 24–48 hours, we recommend avoiding swimming, hot tubs, saunas, and activities that cause heavy sweating, as these can introduce bacteria and irritate the skin. In addition, it’s best to avoid harsh scrubs, retinols, or exfoliating products for several days, and instead use gentle cleansers, sunscreen, and soothing moisturizers to support healing and ensure the best results.
